I love telling people I have a butler's pantry.  It makes me feel so fancy.  It also makes me feel fancy to use words like extraordinaire.  

A Look at Invisible Zippers

Sometimes what you want is a clean lined, simple pillow.  An invisible zipper can add just the right professional touch in that case.  Maybe it sounds a little haute couture but I promise it is much simpler than you may think.  Not at all like putting in a visible zipper.  I really think these are faster than even an envelope pillow.

Laundry Day Now and Then

I admit to being a little intimidated by my new washing machine.  When we remodeled the pantry/utility room  we had to get a new front load washer and dryer and stack them to make room.

I was recently checking out Linda's post at It All Started with Paint about where she walks and then I saw a similar post on KariAnne's blog at Thistlewood Farm. So now I'm doing a post about places I walk.  I think this clearly establishes me as a trend follower.  It turns out there is a Walk it. Pin it. Ice Box with a Chilling Story

This little ice box was once owned and loved by my grandmother.  But when "lectricity" came to town, it was shoved aside to make way for one of those new-fangled refrigerators.

Donkey Basketball, Who Knew?

I picked up a copy of the local newspaper the other day and an article about a donkey basketball game to be played at the high school caught my eye.  I was certain that I had grabbed an April Fool's edition so I quickly checked the date on the paper, March 30, 2012.  Could this be for real?
